The life, this world, our feelings and everything associated with this world is temporary, and what are permanent are our deeds. Let me paint a very simple picture of Human Life Cycle, Birth Stage- Death Stage- Day of Judgment. For me, the duration from birth to death is ‘Life’.

We all are similar on The Day of Judgment. We don’t know when exactly the Day of Judgement is, but there are several indications and signs of the Day of Judgment. Nonetheless, there is also a moment an hour on the individual level. Each and every person will experience that hour/moment. That moment is approaching towards us with each passing time. And when that moment comes to our life, actions, emotions and everything related to this will come to end. Allah (SWT) says in the Quran;

Every soul shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception.” (Al-‘Imraan, 185)

The life of this world is nothing more than a deception. And so are the things related to this world. When that hour comes, our actions, deeds and behaviors will end. Consequently, there are several questions that we might ask ourselves before it’s too late.

What have we prepared for the moment when our life will come to an end?

We know this fact, and we somehow overlook this fact. We focus on the mortal life of this world. Ignoring the fact that life hereafter is permanent. We don’t prepare for our life after that. Or do we? Oh well, some of us prepare well, while most of us (Including me) don’t. If you know your not prepared or preparing yourself for the hereafter it’s never too late to!

Every soul either Muslims or Non-Muslims taste death. Whether today or tomorrow or the day after tomorrow and whatsoever, that time has been decided by Allah (SWT).

Being a Muslim, we must prepare for the hereafter. Death is inevitable. There is no second opinion on this. Preparing for death is optional. I said optional because it is in our hands on how much we prepare for the death.

Jazak Allah Khair

I hope you have learned something today and will apply it in your lives.
