We teach our youngsters/children that lying is bad, and prohibited in Islam. We teach them that one must remain fair and honest in their everyday dealings. While on the other hand, when someone’s tries to meet us or call us (When we don’t want to meet), we ask our children to tell that we are sleeping, not at home or what not. Thus giving them an indirect practical implementation of being dishonest and
